Freshwater Life Exhibition
With the help of Eden Rivers Trust, English Nature and The Heritage Lottery Fund, the Millennium Gallery has been transformed into a world that follows the River Eden from its source to sea, exploring the special wildlife and habitats of this very special area of Cumbrian. See Otters, Salmon and even the rare fish of the Lake District such as the Charr and Vendace.
Freshwater Life discovers why lakes and rivers have been so important to the local economy for thousands of years, and looks at some of the issues affecting the river system and its wildlife today.
The Lake District is famous around the world for it's beautiful lakes and waterfalls, this special exhibition takes the River Eden as an example of one of the finest rivers in England, and interprets it's special landscape, wildlife and history of the county in a way that is both interactive and educational.
